I am a highly experienced HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with over 30 years of clinical expertise in both acute and community settings. Currently practising within the NHS, my work spans a wide range of adult SLT services, with a specialist focus on:
- Dementia care
- Acquired neurological conditions
- Acute stroke and stroke rehabilitation
- Progressive neurological diseases
- Memory assessment services
- Community mental health teams
My clinical practice is deeply rooted in evidence-based approaches to support adults experiencing changes in communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing. In addition to direct clinical work, I contribute to the broader improvement of care through the development of dementia care policies, audit processes, and the design of training resources for both professional caregivers and families.
With an understanding of how neurological changes affect individuals, I am committed to promoting person-centred, dignified, and responsive care across hospitality, health and social care services.
